Joe’s interest in art started in childhood, when he enjoyed drawing World War II planes. Basically self-taught, his formal training includes courses at the Art Students League, the Ducret School of Art, and the Guild of Creative Art.
His works in oil and acrylics have recently become more impressionistic, owed mainly to painting with the Plein Air Painters of the Jersey Coast (PAPJC). Although most of his current paintings capture plein air subjects, his work also includes still life portrait, and contemporary subjects.
Several of Joe’s paintings have won awards and were juried into various art exhibitions over the past few years, including the Monmouth Festival of the Arts.Joe is an Exhibiting Member of the Guild of Creative Art in Shrewsbury, NJ.
